Sacramental Wine - Pie Pellicane

Description

Since the celebration of Holy Mass is the most sacred act we are given to perform, it was fitting to offer the very best. Just as pure linens and vessels worthy of the Mystery are chosen for the altar, so too did we wish to offer a pure and noble wine, worthy to become the Blood of Christ, according to the Lord's words to Moses: “You shall offer a lamb without blemish” (Exodus 29:1).

Grape variety

Naturally sweet wine – AOP Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise 100% Muscat Petit Grain
Sacramental Wine - Pie Pellicane

Vinification

The conception of this wine, long and carefully considered, is the fruit of several years of research. In order to determine the criteria best suited to liturgical use, monks trained in theology as well as theologians familiar with oenological constraints were consulted.
Entirely natural, made from sound grapes and fermented without artificial intervention (cf. Canon 924 §3), this wine contains no additives or blends, except for the addition of vinic alcohol derived from the same Muscat grapes, in accordance with the instruction Redemptionis Sacramentum (§50). It is vinified with no added sulfites.
Thanks to its Vin Doux Naturel profile, it also offers remarkable stability after opening and an aromatic sweetness particularly appreciated for liturgical use
