Pax Red (2024)

Description

The vineyard plots that contribute to this wine combine the freshness of our mountains, the generous sunshine of Provence, and the depth of our soils, some of which are nearly a century old. The most representative slopes extend across deep clay soils at an average altitude of 380 meters in the cirque that separates the two abbeys of Le Barroux.

With an aging potential of of up to 10 years, this elegant and generous red wine is perfect for your festive meals.

Tasting

A deep and magnificent garnet robe. A seductive nose with aromas of red fruit, licorice, a hint of caramel and prune. The palate is full and generous, dominated by a smooth flavor that beautifully envelops silky tannins. The finish is long, slightly peppery, and remarkably elegant.

FOOD AN WINE PAIRINGS
Enjoy with roasted or rare red meats: grilled lamb chops, herb-braised beef, or white-fleshed game. For vegetarians: a root vegetable gratin or eggplant moussaka, sautéed porcini mushrooms, or a cheese platter.

Grape variety

Pax 2023: Grenache 70% (for its generosity and aging potential) Syrah 30% (for its freshness and finesse)
Pax Red (2024)

Vinification

Our grapes are hand-harvested at perfect ripeness. Gentle pump-overs and aging in concrete tanks (18 months) help prevent overly harsh tannins.
