Lux Rose (2024)

Description

The complementarity of the plots present in this wine reveals all the richness of our terroir: the Grenache vines, sometimes a hundred years old, from the Clos de Soeurs on deep clay-limestone soil irrigated by underground springs, the Syrah vines from Saint Joseph planted at very high density on clay-loam soil at the foot of the monks' monastery, the Grenache and Syrah plots from Hauts-de-Beaumont which reach an altitude of over 500 meters.

Tasting

A very delicate pale pink robe. The nose, surprising and complex, reveals notes of citrus and exotic fruits that then open up to floral and red fruit aromas. The palate confirms this generosity with a frank and intense attack, initially offering notes of raspberry and grenadine, then evolving towards softer notes of mango and pineapple. With a dynamic and persistent finish, this expressive wine possesses great personality. The harmony, finesse, and purity of this cuvée pay homage to the splendor of our terroir and make it a gastronomic rosé.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS
This exceptional wine will delight even the most discerning palates as an aperitif, paired with refined Mediterranean cuisine (grilled red mullet, seafood risotto, herb-crusted poultry, puff pastry tart with sun-dried tomatoes, gazpacho, bouillabaisse, tuna Catalana), smoked salmon, or high-quality smoked ham. It will also enhance more unexpected dishes, such as a fragrant vegetable tagine. For dessert, it pairs wonderfully with a fruit salad, a strawberry charlotte, or a rhubarb crumble. Finally, for the more adventurous, it will be a perfect accompaniment to a selection of blue cheeses (Bleu, Roquefort, etc.) or a creamy fresh cheese.

Grape variety

Our secret...
Lux Rose (2024)

Vinification

Harvested very early in the morning at optimal ripeness, the grapes are transported to the winery in the cool of the day. Cold pneumatic pressing. After a slow fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees with lees stirring for 6 months.
